Well-Being Concierge
For the Food & Beverage Industry
Cooks Who Care is a Philly-based organization that supports the well-being of people working in all facets
of the food & beverage industry. Founded by Chefs Maria & Scott Campbell, Cooks Who Care is dedicated
to building a community that supports employers and employees as they strive to prioritize physical, mental
& financial health both on and off the job.
CWC Black Lives Matter Statement
At CWCC we are a multicultural professional organization, and we continue to listen. We understand that racism is still present today in our industry as well as society. It
can be unintentional, unconscious, or in some cases intentional. The negative impact of racism on some in
our community is suffering that breeds feelings of constant stress, fear/concern, oppression and move forward to eradicate it with intention within our community. The lack
of fair opportunities matters to us because we care about Black Lives.
As advocates supporting the Food & Beverage Industry we will continue to engage in conversations that challenge the status quo. This includes issues surrounding equality for foodservice employees, business owners, and employers. We recognize that the deeper the color of your skin, your gender identity, citizenship status, or being a refugee determines a higher price paid than being White in America, and we are committed to making changes in our community.
What we want is for our community is to become better. Our goal is to improve the restaurant and foodservice industry. We keep getting better when it comes to honing our craft of food and drink, learning how to run a business, create and execute a memorable experience, and more. But we need to become better at noticing when our behavior is absent from understanding another person’s perspective. We must start finding ways and acknowledge we are part of the problem in our work culture. WE CAN DO BETTER.
When we get better, we see progress and we see growth. When we allow ourselves to admit we need to get better, we give ourselves room to grow, space to try things that are outside our comfort zone, and do so where it matters most. We need to learn to understand our past mistakes, listen to others who feel our behavior is unacceptable, make necessary changes to show we genuinely care, and value others when expressing how they feel. We need to challenge the status quo, engage in conversations with underserved individuals leading with empathy and gratitude, and commit ourselves to learn more with each interaction. Each reflection helps us find ways to increase our ethics as individuals, and companies identifying that diversity and inclusion are a priority.
We recognize these aren’t habits yet. We will commit to these actions and commit to being the agents of change. Through this process, we have to keep listening... At the dawn of change, we acknowledge that...WE CAN AND WILL DO BETTER.

Align with Cooks Who Care as we stand up to support the health of F & B professionals. As your well-being concierge, we want to connect you affordable health care options and wellness vendors/speakers who understand your unique challenges; yoga/meditation experts, fitness instructors, nutrition experts, financial advisors, and more to provide sustainable support.
As chefs and food and beverage professionals ourselves, we know how hard it is to stay afloat and healthy in this industry. Our interactive community consists of food industry peers, food/stress relief, and financial experts who share resources and solutions to support you.
Largely a volunteer organization, any contributions made during COVID-19 we will hire 2-3 freelance workers (out-of-work) to help us research pandemic resources for employers and employees and help create a Toolkit Post-COVID to design a new landscape for the Food & Beverage industry.
About Us
Cooks Who Care is a community-minded food industry group working to develop a supportive network for forward-thinking food and beverage leaders. Founded by cooks who really do care, we are starting in our hometown of Philadelphia, with the goal of growing our social impact, collective nationally.
The food industry is outdated and needs an overhaul. We activate our shared energy by organizing out-of-the-box experiences to showcase new opportunities to grow personally and professionally within a diverse and ever-changing workforce through prioritizing well-being.
We have partnered with My Benefit Advisor
to develop an exclusive Employee Benefits
and Insurance Program for Cooks Who Care members and their employees! Yes, you read that right! As of Spring you will be able to get affordable health insurance for yourself and your staff through Cooks Who Care.
As your Well-Being Concierge, our goal is to improve culture norms in our industry fostering healthy lifestyles, providing community resources to build career longevity, and by creating a positive vision of the food industry as a profession, not just a job. We drive change by collaborating with community partners who share our passion for a sustainable future.
